Ambitious database

A Comprehensive Helicopter Database for Enthusiasts Worldwide

My goal with this helicopter database is to build a valuable, ever-growing resource for the helicopter industry and enthusiasts across the globe — including my friends who continuously support the project by sharing their photographs and knowledge.

In the Current List section, you will find around 100 detailed helicopter datasheets that are nearly complete and available to the community. Each page provides carefully researched information about individual helicopters, documented with great dedication and accuracy.

It may happen that some helicopters are not completely up to date. This is because, at the moment, I do not have as much time as I would actually need to keep everything current.

My ultimate ambition is to expand this level of detail to include every helicopter ever manufactured and to preserve them all within this database. Although such a goal is highly ambitious, I remain fully committed — together with a dedicated network of contributors and photographers — to making it a reality.

I understand the challenges involved in collecting and organizing such a vast amount of information, yet our determination remains strong. Our efforts focus not only on maintaining and refining existing entries but also on adding new helicopter registrations from around the world.

What this Database Covers

Our master dataset includes essential information such as:
Construction number
Registration or serial code
Type
Year of construction
Operator
Owner (when available)
Location

Whenever possible, we also include additional relevant details. In some cases, only partial data is available — for example, the type, registration, and country — while operator information may still be missing. We are committed to filling these gaps and continuously improving the accuracy and depth of the database.

This project is a true labor of passion. With the ongoing support of our community, we aim to make it an invaluable reference for helicopter enthusiasts, aviation professionals, and historians worldwide.

Newly added are also helicopters currently for sale! However, please note that updates may take some time, as I am still managing the database entirely on my own. Your patience and continued support are greatly appreciated.
